When do I Order my Cap and Gown as a Senior?
You can find links to order your cap & gown at the bottom of this page
Congrats on making it to your final year as a college senior! There is so much to do and prepare for beyond your class work, and it may feel like you’re not set up for success when it comes to ending your time in college.
One of the worst things you can do is not prepare what you need ahead of time. Ordering your cap, gown, stoles, and everything else you need should be at the top of your to-do list. With out these, you won’t have graduation photos, and, you can’t walk at graduation without them!
So, When should you order your cap and gown?
College students should order their cap and gown at the beginning of the semester they are graduating. So, if you’re graduating Spring 2024, you should order in January. If you’re graduating Fall 2024, you should order in August.
Please remember some colleges may be different and might start earlier or later than normal. If you can’t find where to order your cap and gown, contact your school’s bookstore.
What to I need to order?
Students typically need to order a cap and gown, school branded stole, and tassel. Most schools have the option to buy a stole with your major on it, which should be purchased as well.
The below image shows the minimum of what an ASU student would need to order.
If you know you should be receiving a stole or cord for a club or honorary, you should contact the exec board for when you’ll be receiving it. Unfortunately, these typically don't arrive until late in the semester.
2024 Spring Grads:
Please note this information is based on Arizona Colleges for students graduating with a bachelors degree. This information can differ for other schools and degrees. Links to purchase graduation regalia are only for information purposes. I do not receive any monetary value from your purchase.
As a photographer, I try to help my students be as prepared as possible when it comes to their graduation session.
